1. Overview

The Slip On Flange (also known as PL Flange) is a widely used piping connection component characterized by its simple structure, easy installation, and cost-effectiveness. Designed for low to medium-pressure industrial applications, it features a flat disc shape with a central hole that slides over the pipe end, secured by fillet welding on both the inner and outer sides of the flange. Compliant with global standards, it is extensively utilized in water supply, heating, chemical, oil & gas, and general industrial pipeline systems.

2. Core Structure

Flange Disc: Circular flat disc with evenly distributed bolt holes around the circumference for fastening to matching flanges. The disc thickness varies by pressure rating and size to ensure structural stability.

Central Hole: The inner diameter of the hole is slightly larger than the pipe outer diameter, allowing the flange to slip directly over the pipe end for quick alignment.

Welding Grooves: Designed on the inner and outer edges of the disc’s backside to facilitate fillet welding with the pipe, ensuring secure connection without compromising the pipe’s inner wall integrity.

Sealing Surface: Precision-machined on the front side of the disc, available in common types such as Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF), and Smooth Face (SF), paired with gaskets to achieve leak-proof sealing.
